Advertising Sales Representative – Motorcycle

Dynamic publisher of over 20 recreational industry magazines seeks an aggressive sales pro to develop new business and manage an established territory for a national motorcycle publication. ResponsibilitiesSell advertising for a business-to-business publication and maintain up-to-date sales and client activity reports.Meet or exceed ad sales budget for assigned title.Meet production deadlines for ad materials and ensure timely client approval of ads developed in-house. Meet accounting requirements for new and delinquent accounts.Research and develop new prospect accounts, monitor competition and related publications for client activity and leads, and encourage client business growth through effective relationships.

This is an ideal position for a proven sales professional with at least 5 years’ ad sales experience, preferably in print, online and custom publishing. Candidate must be able to handle a large volume of accounts from a home office in the Northeastern area. Most selling will be done by phone, email and/or fax, so good email skills and a professional phone presence are essential. Occasional travel is required to visit customers and events. Must have a passion for prospecting, outstanding relationship-based sales skills, and strong written/oral communication abilities. Effective prioritization skills and the ability to meet budgets/deadlines required.
