Headquartered in scenic Port Washington, NY, Publishers Clearing House is a leading multi-channel direct marketer of value-based consumer products and magazines promoted with a chance to win huge sweepstakes prizes through the mail or from its rapidly growing website, pch.com. With approximately 400 full-time employees, over 40% of the company’s profits go to the benefit of charities. PCH is currently seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst. JOB DESCRIPTION:(Essential Functions)·  Create collection strategies that will increase incoming payments, decrease bad debt and improve agency receipts from recovery agencies·  Monitor, analyze and report on the performance of collections call centers·  Work closely with Credit & Collections (C&C) manager to formulate detailed strategic plans for C&C·  Report on collection/recovery agency receipts for online and offline placements·  Manage company-wide fraud prevention efforts·  Maintain fraud database and distribute credit screen and overextended file to IT and customer service SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:·  BS in Economics, Finance, or other analytical field MBA a plus·  1-2 years in a direct marketing environment OR 1-2 years in analyst role·  Strong analytical, problem solving skills·  Strong verbal and written communication skills·  Ability to generate new ideas, build business cases, and make recommendations based on solid analysis·  Needs to be an assertive team player  ·  Proficiency in MS Office Suite, COGNOS, especially in Excel, SAS
