For more information, please visit the Company's website at http://www.sourceinterlink.com/.Job Summary and Responsibilities (Listed in order of importance): Assist Art Director in establishing and trafficking all creative work with consideration given to deadlines and guidelines. Design and produce marketing, advertising, and miscellaneous collateral materials for MTAS-produced events. Assist Art Director in art department functions, and in absence of the Art Director, supervise art department team of graphic designers and web/print designer. Perform other duties as requested. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: · Manage/track status of daily projects within department. · Perform all duties of a graphic designer as needed: design, layout, and edit print- and web-related marketing, advertising and miscellaneous collateral materials, while adhering to established deadlines and budgets. · Assist Art Director in project proofing with attention to deadlines and adherence to established proofing procedures to uphold quality of printed materials. · Assist Art Director in reviewing bluelines and color proofs from printers. · In absence of Art Director, inspect and approve printed materials upon delivery. · Consult with Art Director during creation/creative review of templates and other collateral. · Re-format/edit the Motor Trend Buyer’s Guide for MTAS Program Books. · Verify integrity of images/logos/artwork provided by 3rd parties/clients. · Help facilitate efficiency and improve workflow processes. · Maintain and police fileserver file organization, archiving and file removal. · Assist Art Director in training design team to further develop creative thinking, design processes, software understanding and use. Consult with Art Director to help provide designers with design and technical direction. · Share ideas, knowledge of software and design with team members. · Assist Art Director as needed. · In absence of Art Director, supervise Art Department Education/Experience:· Bachelors Degree in Design / Visual Communications or related field· 5 years of relevant experience, project management preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · Knowledge/understanding of prepress and printing processes.· Maintain proficiency of all computer applications used.· Maintain understanding of HTML, image optimization, web-related media and new MTAS web site CMS. Physical Requirements: · The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.
