We have an exciting opportunity to join Pearson's Curriculum group as a Budget Analyst for Product Development Finance. Pearson's Curriculum group has annual revenues of $1.2 billion, and includes all publishing operations for Pearson's line of pre-K through 12 educational products. This position will reside in the Glenview, IL offices.Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:' Continually updating all financial/budgeting information throughout business plan cycle' Having complete ownership of product investment budget and forecast for assigned programs' Preparing monthly product investment tracking report highlighting JTD (job-to-date) and YTD (year-to-date) spending by program and changes in forecast ' Organizing and assisting Product Development and Product Management Managers with investment estimates for new product proposals' Assigning correct codes to programs for accurate plant tracking' Supporting managers with product investment budgeting and forecasting' Providing historical plant cost information and serving as a finance resource for Product Development on product investment related questions/issues' Utilizing Vista and/or Oracle to set up project spend budgets, forecasts, calendars, and goals Basic qualifications for this position include:' Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business preferred' 1 to 2 years budgeting and forecast spending experience, preferably within a product development and/or publishing environment preferred' General business and finance knowledge ' Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills ' Strong PC skills (MS Office) with SAP, Vista, and Oracle experience preferredApplicants can submit a resume and cover letter with salary requirements via the online application process or via www.pearsoned.com/careers Please note that you will only be contacted if selected for an interview.
