Position Description:

The Company distributes its products and services through a variety of channels, including proprietary school-based book clubs and school-based book fairs, retail stores, schools, libraries, television networks and the Company’s Internet Site, www.scholastic.com KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide full-scale, end-to-end project and application management for Scholastic Book Fairs CRM and related systems-based solutions. Project Management:1. Responsible for the resolution and prioritization of all work efforts related to assigned business area2. Manages and monitors projects from initiation through delivery while ensuring that projects remain on schedule and within budget3. Monitors project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project members4. Identifies and mobilizes resources to complete project 5. Provide direction and supervision to functional and technical analysts6. Direct the activities of contractors/consultants related to or involving business area functionality7. Prepares reports on project progress and problemsApplication Management:1. Provide hands-on technical guidance to the development and configuration of PeopleSoft CRM solutions2. Leads and facilitates the applications development team to develop, test and implement application solutions3. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a structured development process for all development personnel that can be measured and monitored4. Ensure technical and quality assurance standards are consistently monitored and followed5. Recognize/discuss business issues with functional department management to establish a relationship as a trusted advisor for business direction and incorporate feedback into solution design requirements

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS1. BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent Information Services related experience required2. Successful track record in project and resource management3. Experience managing formal SDLC, development methodologies and change management practices required4. Organization skills with the ability to manage numerous tasks and projects simultaneously5. Extensive application expertise working with PeopleSoft Enterprise CRM Sales, Order Capture, Marketing, and Call Center Modules. 6. Experience with other PeopleSoft Enterprise ERP applications, (e.g. Supply Chain Management (SCM), Financial Management Solutions (FMS)), including integration with PeopleSoft CRM is preferred7. In-depth hands on experience with applicable development toolsets required (e.g. PeopleSoft Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engines, Application Packages, and Integration Broker)8. Experience with performing PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Application Upgrades as well as applying patches, bundles, and maintenance packs9. Minimum of five (5) years experience in integration with PeopleSoft applications10. Experience with automated system integration tools 11. Working knowledge of Web based applications and portal technologies preferred12. Positive attitude with strong team leadership skills
