Compensation Manager

Hachette Filipacchi Media US Inc., the world’s largest international publisher of consumer magazines Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S. is the world’s leading publisher of consumer magazines, whose prestigious brands include ELLE, ELLE Décor, Woman’s Day, Popular Photography, Car and Driver, Road & Track, Boating, Flying, American Photo, Cycle World, Metropolitan Home, Home, etc is currently seeking a Compensation Manager to join our Human ResourcesDepartment.


The primary responsibility of this position is to implement and administer a broad spectrum of compensation programs including job evaluation, sales commission plans, and executive compensation plans. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing, communicating, and maintaining annual performance reviews, bonus incentives and executive incentive plans.


Responsibilities include:  monitoring market trends, evaluating external competitiveness, training managers in the development and measure of performance metrics for the annual bonus and merit process.  Counsel management on pay decisions, compensation practices and policy and guideline interpretation.  Collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company’s market relationship and to ensure external equity.  Act as lead analyst for compensation analysis, benchmarking activities, market studies and salary structure analysis and updates.


Required Skills:Minimum 2-5 years compensation experience5 years total in a Human Resources environmentSales compensation design and administration experience a mustMust be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Must be flexible with changing priorities and must be a quick learnerExperience with HRIS systems (Ceridian HR/Payroll Web and Crystal Report Writer a plus)
