Overview:

 

The Content Manager is responsible for aggregating and maintaining all information for the website; monitoring the usage of the site while interacting with the Taxonomist in determining search terms and issues.

 

Qualifications:

 

· Must have strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and be detail-oriented.

· Ability to manage the process of all projects from start to finish.

· Excellent editing skills with ability to proof for errors in format and spelling/punctuation.

· Familiarity with web publishing standards, content development and web technologies.

· Extensive knowledge of technology relating to content aggregators and online publishing aggregation.

· Ability to interact with other departments (especially the marketing and website management teams) and translate business objectives.

· Well-versed in web tools and technologies, information design, content management systems and knowledge of standards.

· Strong work ethic and team player. 

· Excellent verbal and communication skills.

 

 

Requirements:

 BA or BS Degree, preferably in Information Sciences (Library, Science, Knowledge Management, et al) or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 years in database, content or website management in the business field, with proven track record of success.  Fluent in use of database and knowledge management tools, i.e. filtering large spreadsheets for particular types of information and delivering content to vendors in specified formats.Minimum 2 years managing junior level staff members.
