Credit Risk Manager

We are in search of a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Credit Risk Manager at our Somerset, New Jersey office. 

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

o  Administer and enforce credit and collection policies and procedures

o  Perform in-depth financial analysis and provide credit line recommendations for customer accounts with exposure in excess of one million dollars

o  Coordinate credit extensions globally

o  Develop strategies and goals to minimize bad debt write-offs

o  Provide effective credit analysis for new customers and periodic review/update for existing accounts

o  Provide input to management about portfolio compliance

o  Select and manage third party collection agencies, authorize referral of accounts and monitors agency performance

o  Build strong relationships with customers and sales

o  Recommend changes to credit policies and update procedures in line with corporate strategies

o  Hire, train and supervise credit and collection staff

 

Requirements:

o  Bachelors degree highly desirable

o  7 years commercial collections experience including a minimum of 2 years management experience in a high volume, fast paced environment

o  Working knowledge of domestic and international credit policies

o  Proficient in Word and Excel

o  Ability to work strategically to prioritize and multitask

o  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

o  Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers
