Director of Photography

Inter-State Studio & Publishing Company, a leader in school portrait and yearbook industry, is looking for the right candidate for their Director of Photography position. This position is responsible for the development, training and implementation of photography programs for Inter-State, the premier school photography company in the United States.

 This person should be well versed in photography, particularly undergraduate school portrait, sports and special event photography. A high energy level and the ability to use and advocate technology is strongly desired.

Job Requirements:



Photography Programs

§ Develop and recommend photography programs

§ Test photography programs for functionality and market acceptance

§ Document and layout program specificity and schematics

§ Identify and make equipment recommendations

 

Photography Training

§ Develop training materials including training handbooks, demonstration models, multi-media visual aids, etc.

§ Schedule training sessions

§ Conduct training sessions

§ Evaluate training sessions to measure progress and effectiveness of training

§ Provide feedback to participants and management

§ Maintain training records

 

Photography Analysis

§ Analyze photography jobs to identify issues

§ Provide feedback to management and photography staff

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provide overall direction, coordination and evaluation of photography team
