Responsibilities:

 

Financial Times Search is seeking a Director of Public Relations with a strong background in new business launches and independently managing major press and media relations for a consumer-focused technology company.  This senior-level professional will embody a combination of consumer and corporate communications expertise, credibility with top-tier online, broadcast and print media, strategic thinking, and the judgment necessary to counsel company executives.

 

The successful candidate will be able to prioritize many competing initiatives at once and possess the skills necessary to position a successful consumer-centric product launch.  This person will act as the primary press contact for this unique, high potential business.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

Candidates must have a demonstrated track record of creating strategy for and executing consumer product launches and should also possess strong contacts and a demonstrated ability to generate major business, consumer and technical press.  Other key attributes for this position include an ability to manage and work closely with an expert agency partner and create and manage a network of proven and established press and media contacts within the consumer and technology media space.  We are looking for a high-energy individual who thrives in a small and entrepreneurial environment and can bring enthusiasm and expertise to the business.  Detail-orientation, outstanding writing, speaking and communication skills are essential.
