Editor/Writer/Reporter

The Diamond District News (“DDN”) is an established monthly trade publication that covers the news and business of the jewelry industry in the New York metro area.  It has a circulation of 18,000 consisting of a very involved and committed readership.

 

We are seeking a seasoned Reporter to gather and write news for the DDN and a small stable of client publications.

 

You will be responsible for building and maintaining contacts in the jewelry industry, conducting interviews and have the ability to identify newsworthy events. Additional responsibilities include: editing, spot photography, layout and copywriting functions as required.

 

The qualified candidate for this position will have 3+ years of experience reporting for deadline. You must be a self motivated individual who has strong reporter instincts and the entrepreneurial desire to grow our publication. BA/BS is required. Experience with Adobe InDesign is desired.
