DescriptionSUMMARY: The Electrician 2 is an experienced level position that performs essential electrical and minor mechanical preventative maintenance and repairs to printing presses, auxiliary equipment, and the facility. This is a critical role in maximizing efficiencies and division productivity by minimizing unplanned downtime in all departments, thus helping to ensure our customer's needs are met on time and quality standards are upheld. RESPONSIBILITIES · Troubleshoots and repairs printing presses and their auxiliary equipment utilizing schematics and blueprints, manufacturer's specification data sheets, computers, and PLC's. · Helps maintain a safe work environment by performing maintenance tasks and repairs as required to the facility and equipment. · May lead, train and direct the work of others including junior Electricians · Installs, adjusts, and troubleshoots AC/DC motors, drives, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, gearboxes, drivelines, couplings dropdown clutches, cooling systems, air compressors, bearings, natural gas burner trains, fans, ink systems, solution systems, and related controls utilizing all shop tools. · Maintains accurate Preventative Maintenance Control (PMC) records, including labor and inventory for all work performed throughout division's departments utilizing the PMC computer system. · Works mandatory scheduled or unscheduled overtime as directed, minimizing press downtime · Performs other duties as assigned. · Understands the urgency of minimizing press downtime at all times. Required SkillsREQUIREMENTS (Specific knowledge, skills, education and abilities): · High school diploma or GED completion; vocational trade school or equivalent, preferred · Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrician in related field · Ability to understand, speak and read Basic English. · Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. · Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. · Ability to provide clear direction and instructions to others · Works under general supervision, relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals · Ability to train other maintenance employees in basic electricity Must be able to frequently perform the following: stand, bend, crawl, stoop, twist, climb ladders and work from lifts/scaffolds up to 40 feet.
