Position Description:
We are seeking a Developer/Systems Administrator skilled in specifying, designing and deploying data-center class tools for search and discovery as well as job management. This individual will have a minimum of 7 years experience in systems administration/software development, defining and supporting large scale, multi-tiered applications; mentoring teammates in best practices and working closing with infrastructure partners.
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:• Automating job scheduling and coordination within the existing and new systems• Define and coordinate tool upgrades within the organization• Developing custom solutions that leverage job scheduling and /or search tools to fully automate index creation and deployment• Integrating with existing systems• Educating both developers and infrastructure staff on best practices and use of the tools• Supporting the Production IT team and development when tool-related issues arise.• Evaluating and recommending tool roadmap changes.Qualifications:• 7+ years of software development and/or Systems Administration experience • Hands on experience in design, development and deployment of large scale complex applications in enterprise-class environments.• Strong verbal and written communication skills • Detail oriented • Work within a team environment; high energy and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or lead a small sub-team • Development experience with C# and .Net environments a plusTwo or more of the following• Knowledge of and experience with search tools (Verity, Autonomy, FAST)• Knowledge of and experience with job scheduling solutions (AppWorx (UC4), Tivoli, BMC (Control-M)).• Experience deploying and supporting MS Enterprise technologies like SharePoint and BizTalk • OS level automations, batch scripting and domain integration.
