Responsibilities:The subsidiary rights analyst will be the point person for all questions related to the subsidiary accounts at HBG for both foreign and domestic clients. The analyst will report and work with the Assistant Director on a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to: monthly reconciliation of subsidiary rights accounts; will update and revise unearned statements; handle monthly pay-through to the authors; and act as point person for subright reviews for biannual payout review. Requirements:Must have an accounting degree and a year of work experience in an accounting environment or school related co-op experience. Ideal candidate will be knowledgeable with general accounting policies and procedures. Possess superior organizational skills that enable one to handle multiple projects simultaneously while keeping shifting priorities in order. Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must. Ability to work with close attention to details and be flexible in a team environment is a must. The ideal candidate will be able to grasp new systems and procedures quickly and accurately. Must display grace under pressure. Computer proficiency includes: advanced knowledge of Excel (macros, lookup functions, etc.) familiarity with other MS Office programs. Experience with Bradbury Phillips Rights software is a plus!
