SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing primary administrative support for the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Department.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (Listed in order of importance and based upon amount of time spent on task)' Responsible to manage supervisor's appointment and meeting schedules. ' Create, organize, and maintain office files and records; maintain confidentiality in handling of sensitive material.' Act as a liaison with various offices; provide general information regarding divisional matters.' Coordinate travel arrangements as needed.' Create and maintain reports relevant to the division including consolidation of monthly reports from Editors' Develop and implement new systems and procedures to address the needs of the divisions. ' Coordinate meetings both on-site and off-site; coordinate key events as required.' Responsible to manage special projects as assigned.' Responsible to represent the group on Corporate Task Force initiatives.' Responsible for training of Editorial Assistants and entry level staff to ensure knowledge of rules and policies.' Update Editorial policies and procedures and training manuals' Communicate with high-level Managers, authors and vendors REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Related work experience5 years experience in an administrative or executive support role. Strong organizational skills required. The ability to research and solve problems quickly and accurately. Able to work independently. Excellent communication skills required, both written and oral. Experience with Microsoft Office required. Ability to create and manipulate databases a must. Ability to multi-task. This position requires discretion when dealing with confidential information and ownership on projects for the entire department.
