Graphic Design Supervisor

Summary:

 

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of graphics preparation outside the websites and designing graphics/websites along with creative marking concepts.  This is a working supervisor position.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Supervise the workflow in the Graphic Design Department.Provide necessary training and direction to graphic designersHold weekly production schedule meetings. Determine as a team what additional time requirements are needed to meet client demands.  Perform employee documentation (appraisals, disciplinary action, job description updates, recommendation for increase / incentive, etc..)Create print ready files for production from clients outside POSLive sites and outside sales.Responsible for all creative design for home and component pages for new client print sitesCome up with creative designs and concepts for client’s requests.  Work with client in providing better creative strategies and design process.Maintain a constant rapport with clients and agencies in providing value added servicesCommunicate through sales support staff for all internal staff needsMaintain daily workflow through graphic request forms, scheduled through sales support staffCompletion of work orders to maintain efficiencies in production for achieving the maximum billable hours Work with IT for recommending new concepts and look for client sitesWork on new marketing concepts through concept to design.Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of all hardware and software applications necessary to optimize production.Work with VP of Business Development in updating any internal marketing communication pieces as needed.Work with VP of Business Development in developing trade show pieces, portable displays, etc.Develop the look and functionality for the POS Live website.  Make necessary recommendations for stock graphics as needed.Implementation and management of graphic asset system for both internal and client sites.

 

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

 Help when needed with prepress department and back up as appropriate.

 

 

Skills Required:

 Above average organizational skills.Experienced in office protocol.Self motivated.Ability to communicate with management.Experienced in the latest graphics programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Quark, Adobe Acrobat.Excellent computer design skills.Creative mind.
