Graphic Design and Publication Production Coordinator

Blue Sky Publications, LLC has been publishing high quality regional real estate and lifestyle publications for Texas and the Hill Country since 1996.

STARTING SALARY: $28,500 Depending on experience. Full time in house graphic design and production person whoseprimary responsibilities include composing and production work and supervision of 3 real estate publications and 2 bi-monthly magazines in Adobe InDesign.

The general details of the job are described below:
Ad design and page layout. Interaction with real estate advertisers via email and phone completing their real estate ad layouts.Process client ads and in-house materials to specifications; coordinatewith art directors, account executives, and writers as needed.Prepare layouts by placing art and text; color correct and resize photographs; revise and modify existing files.Maintain quality results by proofing and pre-flighting layouts, including required files, fonts, and links; confirms and troubleshoots design printability and maintains consistent appearance and standards across projects; adheres to layout standards.Maintain document workflow through company software program for production and proofing process. Must be proficient in Macintosh OSX publishing applications:Adobe CS3, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash.
Successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills;keen attention to detail; good critical reasoning; and the ability to workon multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Some working website design is preferred.
