To complement our rapidly growing business we are seeking a bright, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial individual to join the team as an interaction designer to continue our vision of offering the simplest and most sophisticated internet based document printing and distribution service.

The ideal candidate will be a practical-minded perfectionist with the ability to both create compelling concepts and work through complex details. We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can handle a range of project types from discovery to concept to design to writing. You will be responsible for the user experience and usability of the product. You should have extensive experience working in collaborative environments, integrating user-centered design, technology, and business strategy. You should enjoy working independently, taking initiative, and being innovative.

Specific Responsibilities:

 

· Work directly with Product Managers and CTO to fulfill project requirements

· Work in collaboration with developers and visual designers to ensure solutions are feasible and the overall creative solution delivers on user requirements

· Manage relationships with design agency and freelancers

· Conduct usability research with existing and prospective customers.

· Consult user research and incorporate findings into design.

· Produce wireframes, flow diagrams, specifications, and other design related documentation

· Create low-fidelity prototypes to communicate the design

· Provide creative leadership to deliver consistently high quality user experiences

 

Requirements:

 

· BS/MS in Human Factors, HCI, Art, graphic design or related field

· A minimum of 5 years experience in information architecture and interaction design for consumer facing products

· Must possess attention to detail and eye for aesthetics

· Expert in the use of design and prototyping tools

· Ability to work collaboratively with teams of designers, product managers, usability engineers, and freelancers

· Familiarity with technical issues around web development and ability to work constructively with engineering teams

· Proven ability to hit deadlines (both long-term and fire-drill) with excellent results

· Willingness to diligently spec all UI elements, develop creative ideas, concepts, and new ways of doing things

· Strong oral, written and presentation skills

· Experience designing web and client applications

· Success delivering Web 2.0 user interfaces designs.

· An outstanding portfolio of detailed page schematics, functional specifications, interaction flows, site maps, navigation systems, and web-appropriate writing

· Great attitude and ability to handle changeCreativity and attention to detail
