Scholastic Education, Implementation ServicesImplementation ConsultantBackground: Scholastic Education is a division of Scholastic Inc., focused on creating materials, programs and services for the pre K through secondary education students and educators. Recently, owing to the importance of the READ 180 and reading intervention business, new technology product launches, and in response to significant customer need, Scholastic is hiring personnel to support the division’s overall goal of increasing student achievement by supporting educators with training, professional development, coaching, and data analytics services to support large urban districts. Position Summary: The objective of the Implementation Consultant is to provide premier customer planning, service, in-person support and coaching to teachers and administrators using Scholastic programs to maintain the customer base and grow existing sales of technology products and related services. As well as providing product training and professional development, the IC will drive pro-active customer support approaches to ensure fidelity, success and to gather and report results. The IC will be a part of the regional service team and report to the Director of Implementation. Key Responsibilities:Training, Professional Development and CoachingEnsure deep product knowledgeProvide best practice quality implementation training and professional for Scholastic technology programs for teachers, coaches and leadersPresent or support implementation/classroom/instructional activities at regional IC’s and high-level eventsConsult with leadership and teachers about their professional development needs to position Scholastic RED and servicesProvide training/PD reports following each trainingTrack service delivery and calendarWill service Central and Northern CaliforniaCoachingProvide in-classroom coaching to teachers using Scholastic programs to ensure fidelity, support instruction, differentiation, and strengthen results.Share best instructional practices for READ 180 and other Scholastic programs.Model regular use of assessment and report data to individualize and differentiate instruction Make recommendations for further product or service needs based on coaching visits.Complete Coaching Plans with teachers each visit. Track service delivery and calendar.Implementation, Logistics & PlanningPartner with AE’s to develop, manage and document implementation plans, processes and meetings for all accounts to ensure results.Position the implementation message, processes and offerings including technology recommendations and needs as part of sales process.Use implementation tools and implementation meetings to monitor plans. Monitor implementation and all service delivery using TMS-360 (free and paid).Liaise with national technical services staff regarding technical planning, technical audits, installation and service requests and open cases. Facilitate ongoing dialogue and review of customer satisfaction through proactive customer contact and discussion Provide updates to READ 180 and customer databaseReporting, Data Collection & AnalysisIn collaboration with DI, facilitate appropriate data collection to expand sales in key accounts and provide recommendations for improved resultsEnsure that accounts are administering and tracking SRI data according to the implementation plan.Document instructional issues, questions and concerns specific to the implementation planning, instructional needs, and student population.Liaise with research and evaluation regarding research sites and strategic marketing regarding Platinum Site Program and reference sites.Revenue GenerationCollaborate with AEs to increase sales of training, ongoing professional development, technical support plans and renewal, and technical services across product lines.Identify sales opportunities and leads for additional products and services from existing customers.Use service reporting as an opportunity to sell services.Ensure product and service upsell strategies are integrated into service delivery.Track order processing and delivery of paid services.
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Experience required:Thorough knowledge of educational pedagogy, especially reading instructionUnderstanding of current educational context and market (NCLB, funding, accountability, etc) Secondary teaching backgroundTeaching experience with READ 180Experience with adult learners and training deliveryUnderstanding and experience with issues around adolescent literacy and striving readersBasic knowledge of performance data, statisticsBasic understanding of technology-based productsOther requirements:Excellent training, facilitating and presentation skills Customer focused ethic4 year college degreeThorough knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and MS WordMasters Degree preferredExtensive travel required
