Position is scheduled to last for at least 6 months.Instructional Designer designs, develops and maintains content and curriculum products, learning support resources and delivery/assessment methodologies. The Instructional Designer is responsible for determining proper blend of learning methods and tools for a given client solution.Financial responsibilities: Although this position has no direct financial accountability, the actions of the instructional designer can affect deadlines and quality of product. Missed deadlines and substandard work can increase production and development costs and may be realized in lost market opportunity.Supervisory responsibilities (direct and indirect): This position has no direct reports, however,the instructional designer is required to work with clients, subject matter experts, course writers, and project managers to assist with the direction and management of projects. Minimum of 2 years instructional design work in professional/educational environment. Project management experience (project scope, planning, proposals, and follow-up) required.College degree or equivalent years of education and successful work experience in Instructional Design/Technology or another closely related field. A Master's degree in Instructional Design/Technology or another closely related field a definite plus.Technical aptitude and ability to visualize and conceptualize. Superlative writing, creative and imaginative with an artistic flair. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work long distance with subject matter experts required. Familiarity with pedagogical principles is necessary. Knowledge of visual display and message design principles, and familiarity with relevant computer programs and course delivery platforms is a plus (e.g., Visio, Flash, Blackboard, etc.). Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work within a collaborative environment and work within aggressive timeframes is essential. High level of flexibility and dependability. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office products. Solid project planning and management skills.
