Journal Reprint Sales Representative

General Overview:

Informa Healthcare is looking for a talented Journal Reprint Sales Representative. This position is responsible for building and developing Journal Reprint Sales Revenue. The Reprint Sales Representative will also be required to liaise and build relationships with Editorial Boards in order to identify key articles for reprint opportunities. This position will work in unison with the sales team to build reprint sales. Day to day activities include closing sales, lead follow-up, maintenance of a customer database, and liaising with marketing and editorial staff. Strong selling skills are also required

This position requires knowledge of the reference, medical or life science publishing industries

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be able to build existing business and develop/close new business.Must be organized and be capable of (project management) managing all contracts, invoicing and reporting to management.Time-management and sales skills are a must.Identify and close reprint opportunities utilizing database tools such as Pharma Projects, Pharma Predict and Citeline. (training to be provided)Identify and close journal advertising opportunitiesWork with editorial, marketing and sales to develop e marketing campaigns to drive reprint sales.Manage and develop new 3rd party (reprint) resellers such as Infotrieve, Adis, Compas, Phase Five.Review and advise sales staff on top launches by therapy area.Match article relevance with specific companies. Complete the research necessary to identify key articles and potential companies.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Ability to manage / support day to day business and sales of a diverse customer base. Effective time management and organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office package and Internet, prior sales and/or customer service experience.


 Qualifications

* College Degree

* 3 or more years in the professional publishing/sales industry
* Ability to multi-task and deliver reports or information in a deadline-driven environment

* Professional demeanor, exceptional organizational skills, and ability to be detail-oriented
* Candidate must possess good organizational and communication skills 
* Knowledge of PC applications
