Layout Technician

Creates, prepares, modifies, formats data and produces print layouts based on client specifications; thus assisting in compliance with production deadlines and requirements.  Interprets production orders and instructions and selects appropriate computer programs to process orders correctly.  Print layouts must be completed timely and with high quality to meet or exceed client specifications and expectations.  Acts as a resource in the presort capabilities and may provide assistance to others concerning this.  Supports the ISO9001 quality system.  Required Skills and Abilities~Knowledge of PrintNet/PrintManager or Visual Basic preferred.~Excellent organization and problem solving skills.~Ability to manage multiple priorities.~Must be able to identify problems and develop resolutions.~Must work efficiently and accurately with minimum supervision.~Ability to pay close attention to detail for prolonged periods of time and under restrictive deadlines.~Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and exercise tact when dealing with co-workers, supervisors, CSRs or other MetroGroup associates.~Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form, clearly and concisely. Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree preferred.  Associates degree with emphasis on computer science or closely related field or equivalent work experience on a two-for-one basis required.
