Lead Quality Control Specialist

We provide a variety of capabilities, including high quality folding carton production; web and sheet fed promotional printing, media duplication, assembly, fulfillment and distribution.

We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Quality Control Specialist to join our team.  Responsibilities include supervising hourly QA associates; monitoring, investigating and resolving quality issues identified both internally and externally; facilitating the return of materials and inspections when required; working with the Quality Manager to manage the corrective action process; performing root cause investigations, issuing requests for corrective actions, and monitoring the effectiveness of responses; conducting quality orientation (ISO and cGMP topics) for new hires; visit customers on quality issues as needed; monitoring spoilages; conduct internal audits and act as lead for external audits; and creating and issuing reports as required.

The successful candidate will have an Associates degree in business or a related field plus a minimum of five years experience as a quality auditor for a printing and/or packaging company.  Bachelor's degree preferred.  Must have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.  Must be able to delegate, and follow up on work assignments for subordinates.  Working knowledge of printing or HTML editing and the latest in print technology required.  Must have strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and math skills.  Ability to meet production deadlines required.  Must be able to travel overnight as needed to visit customers and other Cadmus locations.
