Founded in 1972, American Printing has grown to a one-stop, full-service direct marketing center headquartered in its own facility. Likewise, our services have expanded and include custom mailing lists, total mail processing from ink jetting to inserting, sheet fed Laser work, print brokering, complete fulfillment services, a full range of data and email processing capabilities and a delivery/courier service. We are currently seeking an energetic, flexible and take-charge individual to be a mail room operator. We need an individual who exhibits professionalism, strong attention to detail, superior organizational and communication skills to join our team.

 

Mailing Equipment Operator Responsibilities:Flight-check customer databases for prospective and live jobs.De-dupe lists unless otherwise specifiedCASS certify and presort mailing listsCreate postage estimates from customer supplied lists using mailing software (currently Postal Soft)Suggest the most cost effective method of mailing (flat vs. letter, etc)Save/track estimates versus actual postage by jobProvide postage amounts to CSR/SalesPrepare actual (live) mailing lists for jobs on arrival. Compare to estimates & previous jobs.Prepare labels and pallet tags for postal jobs Check proofs for compliance with mailing requirements before printingProvide pre-production sample to USPS Mail Design Analyst where neededRun sample quantity of mail pieces or mockups on ink jet (mailing) machineSet up 3rd party tracking for postal mail (e.g., trackmymail.com)Serve as liaison with 3rd party mailers for large jobs and international mailingsTroubleshoot data list & paperwork problems that arise during productionServe as liaison with USPS for onsite verification and any issues that arise post-shipmentInvestigate mailing technologiesMeteringOperation of inserting machineClient weekly download

 

Minimum Qualifications include:

·  Experience in a mail room

·  Strong work history

·  Excellent communication skills

·  Good analytical and problem solving skills.

· 2-yrs exp with inkjet production & Postal Rules & Regulations

· Degree, certification or equivalent work experience

 

Pay is based on Experience w/ Benefits.
