Multimedia Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designeris a member of the Interactive Design Department and is responsible for design and development of web, interactive and other projects as assigned.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to conceptualize, finalize and produce a variety of interactive, web and print projects.
• Participates in strategic internal design meetings, client meetings and project brainstorms where appropriate
• Provides Art Directors, Sr Designers and Project Managers with time estimates of work required
• Monitors timelines and schedules to ensure all milestones for projects are met
• Determines and ensures project graphics are accurate and consistent with the project specifications and clients’ existing brand guidelines.
• Reviews finished projects for scope and completeness
• Openly collaborates with Art Directors, Designers, Developers, Instructional Designers, Project Managers, Web Developers and Engineers.
• Implements the desired creative elements and graphics in conjunction with developers, Sr Designers and Art Directors
• Works independently or under direction of others as part of a work group
• Maintains project files and assets in within established directory structure
• Maintains accurate records of time spent on projects and non-project tasks
• Keeps abreast of current graphic and interactive techniques and advances in design software
• Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:
• 2 - 5 years full-time experience in design and production for web, interactive and other new media projects
• Conceptual thinker, team player with excellent communication skills
• Understanding of UI principles and best practices related to web site navigation and usability
• Experience in web applications and an understanding of how graphic design principles apply to interactive projects
• Excellent working team environments clients and coworkers
• Excellent skills in Photoshop, Image Ready or Fireworks, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, and MS Office products including PowerPoint, a must. Good working knowledge of HTML/XML. Mac/PC skills required.
• Ability to understand and work with multi-media files
• Attention to detail and a professional work ethic. Ability to work extended hours when necessary
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under aggressive deadlines
• Desire to excel in advancing technology.
• Ability to work both independently and under the direction of others.
• Innovative thinker with a desire to learn other technologies
• This is a non-management position working on multiple projects of varying types and sizes, typically on tight timelines.
