Oracle Database Administrator
If you'd like to join a dynamic company, Sunrise Greetings has an opening for an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)! This position is located in Bloomington, IN. Sunrise Greetings, a subsidiary of Hallmark Cards, Inc., is seeking a DBA to oversee the setup, design, and maintenance of the databases used throughout Sunrise Greetings and all of their platforms. The DBA is responsible for working as an integral team member to review, analyze, and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and implementing to support the organization's overall business objectives .
Primary duties and responsibilities include: Database, Unix System, and Oracle Applications System Administration Assist other staff in performing tasks related to the administration of Oracle based relational database systems. Develop and maintain company's Unix servers. Administer IAD's Oracle ERP applications. Senior Technologist Develop and maintain matrix of supported technologies across all database, server, network, and application platforms. Serve as the department's database design authority. Develop and maintain relevant database documentation. Strategic Project Leadership Participate in and/or lead projects of strategic importance to IAD’s information technology infrastructure, as assigned.
Skills / experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required 5+ years Oracle Application DBA experience required. 3+ years experience interfacing with Oracle Applications for creating, tracking, and resolving TAR files. 3+ years experience in database design/architecture, SQL coding, System Administration, Upgrading, Migration, Application Development, Backup and Recovery. 2+ years experience in managing mulitple Environments (ie production, development, etc) and Application Performance and Tuning. Comprehensive knowledge of Oracle Application 9i and/or 10g databases, Patching and Cloning processes, and setting up and troubleshooting multiple con-current managers. Demonstrated skill in proactively identifiying system problems and opportunities. Demonstrated project management skills. Effective communication and partnership skills. Strong detail orientation and customer service focus.
