Outside Account Executive

Quick, a publication of The Dallas Morning News, currently has an opening for an Account Executive. We are looking for candidates with strong sales skills and a desire to suceed. This position is responsible for creating proposals using a consultative sales approach to potential advertisers to invest incremental revenue in Quick. This position will also be responsible for acquiring new accounts and maintaing the accounts that are acquired. You will be expected to meet and exceed monthly goals through growth of targeted account base.

 



Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or related field.

Three-five years promotion or marketing experience.  Background that includes comprehensive understanding of all facets of needs based selling a plus

Ability to use research to support a sales argument and proposal using various sources to gather information.  Self-motivated and demonstrates a strong work ethic focused on getting measurable results for clients. Must demonstrate outstanding communication (oral, written and listening) for presentation skills and internal relaying of information.  Computer savvy including contact manager function.  Outstanding professional appearance and composure required.

Must be creative as well as strategic in approach.  Customer & Team focused—must be able to partner with others and gain team support team to achieve goals.

Ability to exhibit leadership skills with peers on sales staff.  Show initiative acting with urgency in a proactive manner, working effectively with little direction.
