Paralegal/Legal Assistant

We are seeking a Paralegal to provide administrative support to our legal staff in the maintenance of corporate records and in the preparation of legal documents, filings and reports for compliance with regulations and laws of various local, state and federal agencies.  Will maintain in-house “LAWTRACK” system; liaise with other legal assistants within Ingram Industries and to an extent, visitors, customers, and internal associates.

 

The incumbent will have strong project management and organizational skills. This position entails heavy administrative work and the ability to carry out multiple tasks with minimal supervision.  This position will support 2 onsite & 1 offsite attorneys. 

 

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s paralegal degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: 5 to 8 years work experience as a paralegal (corporate setting preferred)

 

Some job functions include:

1. Maintain file systems for legal and regulatory documents.  Knowledge of document control and measures, relevant law and policies governing privacy, public access an confidentiality to ensure against the release of non-public information or documents. 

2. Performs research and analysis on supporting data and information needed regarding various business issues of the organization. 

3. Completes, assembles, proofs and edits drafts of contracts, license applications, etc.  May draft basic legal documents and prepares legal documents for review. 

4. Assists with contract administration matters working with internal departments to review, track and monitor the initiation and completion of contracts and other agreements.

5. Participates in special projects at any level as required. 

6. Provides other administrative support to Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel as needed to include travel arrangements, meeting preparation, schedule maintenance. 

7. Ability to travel to Ingram Content Companies and Ingram Industries as required.  Travel approximately 5-10% of time.

1. Have a flexible approach to managing workload and prioritizing tasks, strong organizational skills and ability to work well under time constraints and to produce high quality work while managing multiple projects concurrently.

2. Have a high degree of personal integrity and strong ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced flexible team environment. 

3. Have or be willing and able to obtain Notary Public commission

4. Good PC skills, including Word and Excel

5. Have excellent verbal, written, & interpersonal communication skills
