Pressroom Supervisor / Trainer - Tensor & Goss press experience

Printing and Publishing company in the Phildadelphia, PA area is seeking a supervisor for the pressroom, to report to the Pressroom Manager.

Job Description: Will be responsible for managing a press crew of 20 workers, operating 5 press lines. Will handle training activities, as well as conducting general maintenance on the press, when necessary. Must be able to work in noisy and dusty work environment. Ability to stand for most of the work day.

Duties and Responsibilities include: Supervise, direct, discipline, and evaluate Press Operators, Roll tenders, and Press Assistants. Oversee the enforcement of safety regulations and OSHA requirements in the pressroom. Train and direct the Pressroom personnel. Oversee the day to day operations in the Pressroom to ensure each job is the highest quality possible. Approve every job that comes off the press during shift. React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.

Requirements: Must be proficient in operating Tensor and Goss Community presses (must be on your resume). Must have demonstrated leadership skills. Must be mechanically inclined. Must have strong communication skills. High school diploma. At least 1 year experience in a job shop. At least 5 years experience as a press operator. At least 3 years experience with offset web press. At least 3 years of 4-color experience. At least 1 year of experience with on-line glue and trim books.
