Overview

The Men’s Wearhouse is looking for a Print Production Manager to work at its Marketing Department offices in San Francisco, CA.

The Print Production Manager is responsible for executing all aspects of the print production process.  The Print Production Manager coordinates the film house and print vendor relationships, supervises press checks, as well as directs the color correction and retouching process.  The Print Production Manager reports to the Studio Production Manager and works with the Creative Services group to achieve efficient and effective execution of creative concepts and designs through the print production process.

Key Areas of ResponsibilityManagement of print budget, deadlines, and overall print quality standards Development of accurate film and print spec sheets for vendors and Traffic Coordinator Development and supervision of print schedules for all phases of production, with external vendors and internal Traffic Coordinator Coordination of bid process and negotiation of quotes on printing projects Review and routing of prepress and print proofs for approval Supervise press checks to ensure maintenance of optimum color standards Management of day-to-day relationship of film house and print vendors Direction of color correction and retouching on image selections   Coordination of print sample archival with Traffic Coordinator

QualificationsExperience directing prepress color correction and retouching Ability to handle multiple types of print production projects (four-color, offset litho, screen printing, large format, in-store signage, direct mail, finishing, kitting, fulfillment) Strong project management skills, including demonstrated track record in managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to understand creative challenges and recommend effective implementation of production plans designed to achieve success within assigned budget Flexibility to manage competing priorities and to shift focus as determined by changing business priorities or creative direction Must be an organized and motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills who thrives on working in a fast-paced team environment Strong oral and written communication skills  Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, keen attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, familiar with Adobe Creative Suite 3  Some travel required Five to seven years of print management experience in creative, marketing and/or advertising environment Four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
