Production Artist

An industry leader in retail store design and development is seeking an experienced Production Artist who truly enjoys translating design files into printable files. This candidate will work closely with project teams to create production files on a variety of projects ranging from collateral to display walls. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in photo retouching and color correction, as well as, the ability to organize, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.  This is not a design position.

Responsibilities



Ø  Responsible for the building of final mechanical files for print.

 

Ø  Must be able to pre-flight, collect files and archive materials.

 

Ø  Responsible for attending press checks and ensure graphic standards of quality.

 

Ø  Work closely with production manager to implement production workflow.

 

Ø  Assist in graphic design development as needed.

 

Ø  Punctuality and regular attendance are required for this role.

 

Requirements

 

 

Ø  Bachelor's Degree from University or Art School with major in Fine Arts, Graphics Design, Communication or related field.

 

Ø  3-5 years direct experience in production art.

 

Ø  Expert in Photoshop and Illustrator.

 

Ø  Proficient in Freehand, InDesign and Quark.

 

Ø  Knowledge of screen, offset and digital printing processes.
