Your tasks
The Random House Children's Group seeks a Production Assistant to provide support to a busy Production Department. Responsibilities include: Support assistance to Director of Department, generating and updating of reports, utilizing the company database, serving as a liaison to other departments throughout the division and/or company, ordering dupe film/files for subrights, monitoring schedules, entering/maintaining data in SAP, electronic archiving and trafficking materials internally and externally as well as handling of special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Our requirements
Ideal entry level candidate will have prior office experience, an interest in graphic arts, printing, print buying, manufacturing and production. Candidates should demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, astute attention to detail and be highly organized with an ability to successfully prioritize and multitask. Computer proficiency is essential and applicants must have working knowledge of the Macintosh computing platform, Quark Xpress software, and Microsoft Office. In addition, familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Filemaker and PhotoShop is helpful.

BA/BS degree required.
