Proofreader

The Mines Press, Inc. is a printing and direct marketing company located in Northern Westchester County. We have been in business for 75 years and have operated the Westchester facility for nine years. 

 

We are seeking a full time, hands-on self starter looking to proofread and review customer orders and in house marketing material in an effort to create clear, concise, error-free deliverables.  Ensure compliance with standards of style and format, English usage, and overall structure and organization of material. Review documents for spelling, punctuation, grammar, style, formatting, and consistency. Ensure that customer instructions such as content, color, style and quantity are followed.



We are looking for someone detail oriented, with good organizational skills, the ability to evaluate the content, structure and format of a range of written material and prior proofreading experience.  Must have the talent for working collaboratively with diverse groups in a deadline-driven project environment.

 

Required Skills

 Extremely strong proofreading skills, including familiarity with standard proofreading marksSuperior command of the English Language Ability to effectively use the computer to research orders and send out proofs 

 

This position is on site, there is no ability to work from home.
