Your tasks
The Random House Sales Division is seeking a Sales Assistant to join the Children's Mass Merch team.

Ideal candidate will report to two VP's and responsibilities will include the following: coordinate and prepare custom sales kits; assist in general department administration; expedite internal communications and external mailing (including updating mailing lists) and messenger needs; maintain calendars and travel expenses for VP; maintain calendars for sales teams and schedules/conf rooms for shows; Assist in preparation for Pre Sales and Sales Conference; assist the department in gathering materials for sales presentations and catalog creation; manage meeting correspondence for Pre Sales and Sales Conference; coordinate affidavits for major releases; coordinate sales promotions and special offers as well as update special offers website. Additionally the assistant will work closely with a sales manager on day to day demands from Levy Home Entertainment. Will train to back up Title Manager when needed and compete a variety of special projects as assigned.


Our requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Attention to detail is a must, as well as the ability to learn new systems. Must also have the ability to see a project through independently and feel comfortable working with numbers and finances. Ideal candidate will also have an interest in the Sales/Marketing aspect of book publishing.
