Inside Sales Position

 

World Trade Press is seeking an ambitious inside sales representative to expand their e-content product line in the Public and University Library market. In this position, your primary responsibility will be revenue generation based on phone prospecting to Chief Librarians, Acquisition Librarians, Superintendents and Department Heads at Public, Universities and College Libraries.  This position can offer the right candidate an opportunity to begin an exciting career in publishing sales.  The products that you will be selling are the most accurate and comprehensive e-content databases in the industry. This is a full-time on-site position. 

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Outbound telemarketing (70-80 calls per day)

·        Respond to inbound sales inquiries, requests, orders

·        Active prospecting for and qualifying of new clients

·        Conduct product demonstrations by phone

·        Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients

·        Maintain Goldmine database

·        Attend Trade Shows (3-5 annually)

·        Post-Sales Customer Support

·        Attend Sales Meetings

·        Prepare Sales Reports

 

Minimum Requirements

·        Sales experience helpful, but not required (we will train the right person)

·        Comfortable in an outbound calling environment (70-80 outbound calls per day)

·        BS or BA degree required

·        Professional demeanor

·        An interest in selling to the academic and library communities

·        Possess an innate sense of integrity

·        Ambitious and self motivated

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Dedicated to professional development and success

·        Proficient with MS office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

This is a full time position, Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM located in our Petaluma office.  Occasional travel may be necessary to attend trade shows.

Compensation • Base salary: $40k to $48k/year depending on experience. Expected annual income: Year 1 - $65k to $75k, Year 2 - $70k to $90k
