Position Description:
General Accounts ManagerSummary: To sell QED education marketing services within a designated geographic territory or territories and/or to specific accounts.Essential Duties: Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.1. Develop and manage all sales activities of geographic region to meet or exceed monthly and annual goals.2. Sell the full complement of QED products and services within the defined territory or territories, understand the customers' business and marketing strategies, obtain appointments, plan sales calls knowledgeably, close consistently on sales and other actions, and manage the territory in an efficient and effective manner.3. Create business plans, reports and other strategies to organize and communicate activities of region's sales staff.4. Draft customer proposals, presentations and correspondence as needed, and make formal presentations to customers and prospects as requested.5. Submit accurate and timely reports as required by management describing territory/account activity, including the preparation of key account plans and sales forecasts; maintain current and accurate records of customers, prospects, sales calls, key accounts, expense reports etc.6. Maintain a positive attitude toward self-development as a professional salesperson and toward QED by participating in company programs and proactively seeking external training related to job requirements and growth.7. Travel as needed to customer locations, conventions and meetings.8. Understand and remain current with the education market, including how schools operate and buy.9. Minimize credit and collection problems.10. Use time and company resources efficiently and in the best interest of the company and its customers.11. Represent Quality Education Date in an ethical and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years sales experience, preferably in the education market, knowledge of direct marketing, database marketing and/or QED products and services.Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and leadership ability.
