Our aim is to provide authoritative research and analysis, up-to-the-minute news, comment and debate for all sectors of the Healthcare and Life Sciences community.  We serve the commercial needs of business leaders, the research needs of the scientific community and the 'good practice' needs of healthcare professionals.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

 

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Account Manager in our corporate sales department. The role of the SAM is to work with our corporate customers – pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers – to develop marketing and educational programs using Informa’s books, journals and electronic products.  This person will be required to identify new accounts and opportunities, as well as to maintain and grow existing accounts, and will be responsible for maximizing revenue and meeting aggressive sales targets.

Primary responsibilities include:Working on bulk sales of books and customized print and electronic products as well as journal supplements and special issue sales.Meeting with key accounts to expand strategic partnerships.  Also attend medical conferences as necessary.Working with other departments – Editorial, Marketing, Production – to develop projects for presentation to corporate clients.Providing a high level of customer service regarding product pricing, delivery and billing; following-up with clients via phone, e-mail or in person.Keeping up-to-date on all industry developments and using competitive information to develop new projects.Producing monthly activity reports and using CRM tools to track and analyze sales information.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Previous experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; background in medical publishing a plus.

- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or medical device industry desirable.

- Proven ability to close sales and manage large accounts.

- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

- Excellent presentation and communications skills (both verbal and written).

- High proficiency level in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CRM systems desirable.

- Ability to work well with colleagues at all levels; well-organized and detail-oriented.
