Senior Accounting Analyst

The Dallas Morning News currently has a temporary to permanent position available for a Senior Accounting Analyst. This position will be responsible for managing monthly reconciliations of circulation accounts; ensuring  timely recording of Circulation revenue and expense transactions in accordance with periodic closing schedules and GAAP; analyzing the reconciliation results to ensure accurate and timely resolution of outstanding items; identifying and investigating outstanding variances; documenting processes and procedures for both internal records and Sarbanes-Oxley; identifying and correcting interface errors between DSI and PeopleSoft; implementing internal controls and process improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness; training staff accountants; and performing month-end close duties as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, CPA/MBA required.

Advanced PC Skills, windows, Excel and Word; PeopleSoft experience necessary; self-starter.

3-5 years of accounting experience.
