Senior Database Administrator

RTIS is the leading provider of services for the creation of FDA-compliant Structured Product Labeling (SPL) and related services to the pharmaceutical industry. We currently have an opening for Senior Database Administrator in our Horsham, Pennsylvania location.  Responsibilities include ensure the availability and reliability of mission critical production databases. Administer, maintain, and support multiple production databases and development database environments. Establish and enforce policies related to database security, access, and deployment procedures. The administrator will recommend and implement strategies to manage database growth in support of anticipated business needs. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, an applicable field, or equivalent experience, Six plus years related network or database management experience, Oracle 10g certification preferred, experience supporting large Oracle 9i and 10g production databases, ability to analyze and resolve database performance and database capacity issues, proficient in SQL and PL/SQL and very strong in SQL tuning, must have backup and recovery experience including RMAN, experience with UNIX (SUN SOLARIS), experience with database monitoring tools, strong problem solving skills and excellent leadership capabilities, communication and documentation skills. RTIS offers an excellent compensation program with an outstanding benefits package which includes a pension plan, 401(k) plan, tuition refund, medical, dental and vision insurance options and free Health Club membership in Horsham.
