Position Description:

Construction Equipment seeks a seasoned construction journalist to generate features, news, and audio/visual coverage of the construction equipment industry. Editor will write for the monthly publication and the website, and will contribute to a variety of ancillary products, including Webcasts and online newsletters. Editor must capably follow trends and represent the magazine with editorial sources and at industry events and trade shows. As a senior editor, ability and experience in managing projects independently is required, as well as use of various software tools for print and electronic production.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or masters degree in journalism preferred, new-media emphasis a plus. Previous business to business publishing experience, both in print and on line, would be a plus. Excellent writing and editing skills are critical. Strengths should include information gathering, writing, and project organization. Ability to represent the magazine within Reed, with readers, and with sources, is key. Knowledge of construction equipment industry would be a definite advantage.
