Description

 F+W Publications, Inc., a leading publisher of special interest magazines, is seeking

 a multi-disciplinedandconceptual graphicdesigner to join the Creative Services team.

 Creative Services is responsible forcreatingprint and online direct-responsepromotional

 communications for our 48+ magazines,competitions and conferences.

 Our magazine line-up is diverse and includesHOW, Print,Memory Makers,

 Popular Woodworking, Log Homes Illustrated, Writers Digest and many more.

 

 Candidates will berequired to provide design and production support for assigned titles.

 This is a fast-paced environment, so you must be ableto manage your time,

 prioritize and juggle multiple projects. Scope of projects range from direct mail packages,

 subscription cards, print and online advertising, e-mail blasts, web buttons, media kits, and

 integrated marketing communications for special events.

 

 We're looking for someonewho can collaborate with writers and are highly conceptual when

 working on new direct mail packages,competitions and conferences. Seeking candidates with

 BOTH print and online design experience.

 

Specific Skills

• At least a 2-year graphic design degree, BFA or equivalent preferred

• 5+ years experience delivering integrated marketing communications

• Solid typographic skills and a good sense of composition and color

• Accurately and efficiently build InDesign files, preflight/ collect files for production.

• Maintain electronic files of photos and other graphic images

• Experience with color and font management

• Good troubleshooting skills in a MAC environment

• Highly proficient with InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat, GoLive

   and/or Dreamweaver

• Experience producing online promotions such as e-mail blasts

   and knowledge of HTML and FLASH a PLUS
