Shipping Clerk - PA

Job Summary: Responsible for the sorting, packing, and shipping of printed product from the LSI shipping department.  Works in a production environment and must be able to do multiple job functions. 

 

Essential Job Duties: 

Sort and pack orders:Receive orders within totes via conveyor.Quality check books.Sort (separates) orders into ship-to batches.Securely pack books in cartons insuring that books will not be damaged during shipment.Load cartons onto conveyor, or if small enough, load multiple cartons into totes and replaces on conveyor.

Processes cartons via UPS, Fed-Ex, etc. utilizing automated shipping systems:Review customer shipping instructions.Place cartons on scale of shipping system.Enter data regarding ship-to address and shipping instructions.Place carrier label on cartons.Remove cartons from scale and places on conveyor or skid.Help maintain the shipping/receiving areas in a clean and orderly manner.Other duties as assigned. 

Experience:

· 1 or more years in a shipping/receiving department or warehouse experience.

 

Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

Skills: Must be able to exhibit dependable attendanceAttention to detail and accurate typing are required.Computer experience preferred.Must be able to work 12-hour shift.
