The District Sales Manager would have direct responsibility for 4 – 5 customers in the Eastern Region. The District Manager would be accountable for obtaining sales targets, negotiating advertising expenses, maximizing Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) space at retail locations, and handling administrative duties of the position.

Responsibilities:Involvement of every aspect of SCEA and the customer needs as it pertains to sales, marketing, order tracking, inventory reporting and advertising functions. Achieving launch and quarterly targets are a priority. DSM must use their experience, resources, and relationships to deliver the expected results. Position is responsible for working with each account to develop and implement marketing plans that adhere to SCEA guidelines. Marketing callout should reflect SCEA’s leadership position in marketplace. Position is responsible for the development and implementation of merchandising programs (interactivity, fixturing, branding) that follows SCEA guidelines and provides SCEA with feature position and space consistent with market share. Introduce product line to each customer and keep customers informed on availability, changes, and shipping status. Establish formal meeting schedule with each customer to review orders, performance, marketing, merchandising, tie ratios, opportunities, and related topics. Meeting recaps with action items to be delivered to all attendees and Regional Manager within 48 hours of meetings end. Attend and lead customer meetings / presentations at DPS, E3, and other events. Provide forecasts, business review data, sell through information and other analysis as required by the Regional Manager and SCEA HQ. Deliver concise, professional proposals on major marketing expenditures. Utilize hardware allocations to deliver strong software and peripheral tie ratios to SCEA. Manage the co-op and merchandising accruals of each customer under your responsibility. Work with each customer and SCEA Order Administration on default warehouse, normal shipping methods, order procedure, and for resolution on any shipping issues. Work with SCEA Finance on each customer’s terms and conditions, payment issues, credit line changes, and other related financial topics. Handle the day to day duties while working with accounts on long term strategy for growing market share.

Qualifications: Professional, self-motivated, with selling experience. Also, important to have general knowledge of advertising/merchandising/analysis. Computer application skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) a must, along with strong communication skills (verbal/written/presentation). Individual must be organized, resourceful, strategic and achievement oriented. Position is “the point person” for all aspects of the sales effort - sell through, merchandising, advertising, performance tracking, and closing the deals. Coordinate with other departments within SCEA and each account to develop and implement programs. Ability to quickly learn new systems such as Oracle and CCI. Must be proactive in handling the “day to day” duties along with planning long term strategy for each account. There are daily follow ups to the Regional Manager and SCEA HQ (obtaining orders, forecasting needs, marketing, merchandising, and reporting). Candidate must have very strong time management skills in order to complete all duties in stated time period. Individual must be a strategic thinker in order to deliver both short term and long term results. It is important that candidate has sales experience and general knowledge of merchandising, branding, sales analysis, and advertising. Individual must become an expert on SCEA product line and become familiar with competitive products, industry trends, and retail environment. Individual is the point person for all customer questions and obtaining resolutions.
