SqlServer DBA
Custom Direct, a market leader of personalized products in the direct-to-consumer market, located in Harford County, is seeking a SqlServer DBA to join our team.
Installation and configuration of SqlServer databases on Windows and Web Server platforms. Perform, monitor and enhance backup and recovery procedures for multiple databases. Develop, test and maintain database disaster recovery plans. Monitor, research, document and perform all database and server performance enhancements.
Plan and test new DB versions / upgrades as well as installation and testing of SqlServer patches. Troubleshoot DB issues, including but not limited to server performance, client processes and connectivity issues. Develop and maintain SqlServer packages, triggers, other DB objects and SqlServer related server scripts. Oversee the development and maintenance of SqlServer stored procedures (T-SQL). Cross train with Oracle DBA to serve as backups to each other.
Four year college or university degree in IS related subject matter and two – three years experience as a SqlServer DBA; or five plus years experience as a SqlServer DBA. An advanced degree in a Computer Science curriculum is preferable as is any Oracle database experience.
