Position Description:

This position can be located in Highlands Ranch, Colorado or Waltham, Massachusetts.A highly experienced Senior Project Manager capable of running large projects, numerous concurrent small projects or taking overall responsibility for a large business change program, with several work-stream project managers reporting in to them. As a senior member of the IT department, this role requires significant adaptability and a high degree of collaborative working both within IT and across the business. From time to time, the Senior Project Manager may be required to undertake assignments not directly covered by this profile, as the needs of the business demand, as part of their personal development plan or to enhance the departmental capability.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:- Work with Business Management to help them crystallize ideas and initiatives into structured programs and/or projects- Work with Business Managers to initiate projects correctly and identify a clear scope, requirements and goals from the outset- Efficiently create project and resource plans and schedules for projects and programs allocated by the project office- Provide leadership and communication required to maintain high level of confidence and morale in all assigned resources and stakeholders- Ensure that all areas of IT and the affected business units are considered when producing Project Plans and schedules- Agree project resource requirements and timescales with IT managers and manage the assignment and release of all project resources- Manage activities of assigned project resources for the duration of the project- Track progress of project and maintain accuracy of plan and schedule throughout the project lifecycle- Effectively manage risk and issues to minimize impact on all project deliverables- Accurately and regularly report project progress to all stakeholders- Deliver projects to agreed timescales and budgets- Manage changes in scope, resource or time in line with RBI change control process and project governance- Ensure that all external resources required by the project are acquired and managed effectively- Effective management of project or program budget and financial reporting.- Ensure all projects conform to RBI project processes and procedures- Perform post-project reviews- Work with Director of Project Management Group to suggest and implement improvements to standard project methodology and processes- Manage and develop less experienced staff within the Projects team- Establish close working relationships with colleagues across RBIQualifications:- PMP Certification- Superior Project Management experience, preferably with a track record of successfully delivering at least 2 large business change projects- Proven track record of leading at least one project which has had a strategic impact on the business and required an effective change management process- Demonstrable experience of the practical application of project management methodology- Experience using common Project Management tools, especially MS Project- Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the project management process from requirements to implementation and the ability to identify issues and mobilize corrective action- Proven track record of working effectively with business managers to ensure project objectives are achieved- Superior analytical and planning skills- Experience of managing third party suppliers and negotiating contracts- Well developed interpersonal and communication skills- Proven track record of achieving results in a matrix-managed environment- Experience working in an evolving environment- Able to facilitate the identification of business requirements- Ability to manage own time. Productive with limited supervision.- Able to facilitate decision making on and the planning of appropriate IT solutions- Strong staff management experienceDesirable Skills/Qualifications:- Broad Technical understanding across various Design Methodologies, Platforms, Tools and Languages- Experience working in a CMM or ITIL based environment- Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in IT or Business discipline
