NewPage owns paper mills located in Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nova Scotia and Wisconsin. These mills have a total annual production capacity of approximately 5.5 million short tons of paper, including approximately 4.3 million short tons of coated paper, approximately 920,000 short tons of uncoated paper and approximately 300,000 short tons of specialty paper, as well as approximately 3.2 million short tons of pulp.

 

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Manage interactions with converting subcontractors including getting rolls to the converter, scheduling sheeting time, negotiating spot rates, ensuring customer invoicing and relieving inventory.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

▪ Manage execution of orders to outside converters:

-  Issuing purchase orders

-  Performing goods receipt of finished goods

-  Consuming component materials

-  Managing financial impact

 

▪ Assist with periodic audits of subcontracting facilities

 

▪ Perform inventory reconciliations, both physical and book-to-book, at regular, predetermined intervals.

 

▪ Assist in building/maintaining relationships with outside converters, qualifying new converters, and generating/modifying contracts as needed.

 

▪ Update subcontracting training materials as needed

 

▪ Back up other IPS functions as needed

 

▪ Work on special projects as needed

 

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree required; APICS certification and financial background desirable

 

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

- Strong analytical and multitasking skills.

 

- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Less than 10%.
