Traffic Assistant

Niche Media taps into exceptional markets and creates city-specific magazines catering to readers by offering the best in fashion, food, celebrity, culture, society, style, philanthropy, and personality-driven stories.  We are looking for a Traffic Assistant to join our growing team.

The Traffic Assistant is responsible for all incoming ad material meets specifications and will correspond with creative agencies on problem files.

Responsibilities
• Liaise between Editorial, Art, Imaging and Production departments keeping a steady workflow during book closings and ensuring all publications are shipped within deadline dates
• Assist in development of online Ad Portal and work on improvements with the website Content Manager
• Act as the online Ad Portal Technical Support contact for clients
• Design ads or modify creative materials upon client request
• Preflight editorial and ad pages
• Create client invoices
• Assist in researching problems that occur during post-printing

Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of print production experience preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office, PhotoShop, QuarkXPress, Acrobat, and Illustrator skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Superb organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines
• Ability to work overtime if necessary
