WCMS Administrator & Trainer

PennWell Corporation is currently seeking an Administrator & Trainer to oversee its website content management system (WCMS).

 

The purpose of this position is to be the primary technical resource for providing quality training, administration, recommendations and communications for PennWell’s website content management system.

 

The incumbent for this position will monitor the overall condition of the WCMS, work with staff to identify, maintain and correct process and components, develop and implement WCMS training, communicate deficiencies and enhancement recommendations, and coordinate the identification and implementation of user access and rights. This role requires ability to comprehend and communicate technical knowledge to a variety of end users with varying technical skill levels. Strong communication, presentation and organization skills a must.

 

 

Responsibilities include:Plan, initiate, conduct and maintain WCMS training programs and logisticsCreate and maintain training collateral material and documentation Support stakeholders with WCMS questions, training issues and CMS recommendationsAdminister WCMS access and rights to group stakeholdersTest and troubleshoot WCMS functions and componentsDiagnose and resolve WCMS problems and issuesCommunicate WCMS issues and recommendations with programming staffCommunicate new WCMS features and components to stakeholdersLeads stakeholder WCMS testing as websites are migrated to the new platform and as new websites are launched with the WCMSMinimal travel required

 

Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in related field preferred, work experience may be substituted2+ years experience in a similar role preferably in a multi-site platform environmentExperience with training technical subjects to technical and non-technical stakeholders3+ years experience in a web environmentExperience in loading and maintaining content for diverse and complex websitesExperience with Web Content Management Systems (WCMS) a plusExperience in application and/or system administration

 

Skills and knowledge:Strong interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate technical concepts to a technical and non-technical audienceStrong presentation skillsPower-point and Microsoft suiteExperience and understanding of HTMLSkills in web based applications and technologiesMust possess the ability to read and interpret technical specifications and software requirementsStrong written and oral communication skillsExcellent timeline management skillsSelf starter Strong problem solving skills; ability to find solid solutions to complex problems
