Description:

 

East View Cartographic, a world leader in sourcing exotic geospatial data such as maps and GIS data from countries around the globe, seeks a Web Administrator to maintain its current website and be the primary developer for future enhancements. The individual we seek will have a solid background in web design, development and maintenance.

 

We serve libraries, governmental, and corporate clients all over the world. Our customers need high-quality maps and geodata quickly. Providing a fast, effective and stable web platform is a key element to keeping our customers satisfied and in maintaining our position as the leading provider of geospatial data in the world.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Responsible for daily administration, support and maintenance of our website

 

• Administration, support and maintenance of ArcSDE and MS SQL databases

 

• Collaboration with Sales and Marketing to envision and create new enhancements to our web presence

 

• Work interdepartmentally to help import new map data into the system

 

• Provide accurate and reliable documentation and code maintenance

 

• Work with other IT team members to help provide a high level of IT systems reliability

 

• Respond as needed during off-hours to system failures

 

• Implement new technology and migrate to new platforms

 

 

Requirements:

 

• Significant experience building and maintaining web sites utilizing ASP and IIS

 

• Significant experience with ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ArcGIS and geospatial data

 

• Significant experience with VB, ASP, ASP.NET, XML and AJAX

 

• Strong understanding of MS SQl database design and maintenance

 

• In-depth knowledge of MS operating systems

 

• Excellent organization and time management skills

 

• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills

 

• Foreign language skills are a big plus
