Web Internship

Thieme Medical Publishers seeks a detail-oriented web intern to assist the Website Coordinator.

Responsibilities include: Maintain site content, create and test new pages and create web banners. Help with the preparation of PDFs and covers for the websiteWork on missing covers and thumbnails, scan and resize for websiteBuild and distribute website reports.Help compile monthly data updates for our book distributors. Research search engine rankings to help contribute to Thieme’s Internet positioning.Assist with the Link Exchange Program. Contact and follow-up on list of societies for link exchange. Research new societies for possible link exchange. Establish document that tracks and analyzes sales related to outside links.Review all of our books on Google Books to ensure cover images, link, and bibliographic info is okay.

Qualifications:

 

· Ability to hand-code HTML and CSS

· Experienced with image editing programs (Photoshop, Illustrator)

· Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office software (Access, Word, Excel)

· Strong research skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Good time management and prioritization skills

 

This is an unpaid intern position. We provide a stipend to cover transportation expenses and lunch, flexible office hours and academic credit can be arranged (e.g. independent study credits).

 

Length of time is 3-6 months and a full time job with competitive salary plus benefits may be offered at the end of the internship if performance is up to par.
